This year, the second MADRID CROSSFIT SERIES will be held in the city of Madrid, the will be the Polideportivo Municipal Gallur, located in Barrio La Latina, C. de Gallur, 2, 28047 Madrid.

The Madrid CrossFit® Challenger Series, organized by SevenMila Barcelona, will take place on Friday 25, Saturday 26 and Sunday 27 November2022

The contest is divided into two parts: an online qualifying phase that, once passed, will allow access to the second phase of the contest, the live event that will take place at Centro Deportivo Municipal GALLUR (MAD).

Due to the SARS-CoV-2 pandemic called COVID-19, the viability of the Live Event is linked to the Health and Safety ordinances and restrictions that will be in force at the time of the Event itself.
Not being able to know them in advance, today we foresee 3 possible scenarios which for convenience and clarity we will call

  • GREEN Scenario – the situation where the restrictions are such that the Event can safely and openly run on December 10-11-12, 2021,
  • YELLOW scenario – the situation when the restrictions will force to postpone the event, in any case not later than the first quarter of 2022.
  • RED Scenario – the situation in which it will not be possible to conduct the event live and open safely Depending on which Scenario occurs

The following OPERATIONS will be performed:

GREEN STAGE

The competition foresees that the athletes who have qualified according to the number indicated in point 4 can enter the presential phase.

Athletes will receive an email informing them of their admission to the presential phase. They will then have at their disposal the deadline indicated by the organization of the competition to confirm or not their presence. In the absence of confirmation, the next classified athlete will automatically have the possibility to participate in the competition.
The confirmation of participation in the event must be accompanied by the payment of the admission fee for the presential phase.

Along with the confirmation email, the athlete will also receive further information. The event’s social pages and website will then provide further news and information on updates, briefings, calendar, check-in, orientation, etc.

The organization reserves the right to change the location or training of the face-to-face phase depending on the needs of the race (e.g. bad weather).

YELLOW STAGE

In the event that the organization does not have the possibility to carry out a live open-door phase in complete safety on the dates foreseen for reasons of force majeure such as, for example, decrees law and related restrictions, the organization will reserve the right to modify and postpone the event to the immediately following months.
The competition foresees that the athletes who have qualified according to the number indicated in point 4 can enter the presential phase.

RED STAGE

In the event that it is not possible, for the reasons mentioned above, to hold the live event at a later date, the Organization reserves the right to cancel the live stage guaranteeing the refund of the XXXXX fee for those who do not have management fees.

To be admitted to the Madrid CrossFit Challenger Series 2021 the athlete must:

  • Have reached the age of majority on the date of participation in the competition or be authorized by their parents by submitting an authorization form signed by the parental responsible.
  • Accept the regulations along with the disclaimer and personal data processing rules.
  • Finalize your account on the official website https://games.crossfit.com/ to obtain your CrossFit® ID.
  • Use the registration platform WODBUSTER ARENA under the terms indicated therein and pay the registration fee, upon confirmation of qualification, of € ______ which includes admission to the
    competition plus the competition kit.
  • Comply with all the required formalities (e.g., submit the medical certificate as indicated at.
    MADCRFCHSRS.
  • The online ranking must be considered provisional until all athletes invited to the final stages have confirmed their participation. In case one or more invited athletes renounce to participate.
  • give up their place in the final phase, new invitations will be sent based on the results of the ranking.

Therefore, some athletes initially excluded may be invited at a later date.
Not to be subject to precautionary suspension from sporting activity or sanctions at any level of judgment issued by the competent national and international sports authorities. To avoid these situations, the organization reserves the right to protect itself at each venue. The organization will carry out the appropriate checks and possibly exclude the participant, who will not be entitled to any refund.
Once the entry fee has been paid for both the qualifications and the access to the final, it will not be possible to receive a refund, except for point 2.3.

ANTIDOPING
  • Athletes are prohibited from using illegal performance enhancing substances. Any athlete who is under the influence or use of such substances during the competition, the organization of the event reserves the right to disqualify the athlete from the competition with all its effects.
  • The Madrid CrossFit Championship (C.R. Edition) complies with the official CrossFit Games Drug Testing Policy.

  • Any entrant entered in the Madrid CrossFit Championship (C.R. Edition) at any stage of the season, as an official as an official CrossFit-sanctioned event, is subject to the rules and regulations of the CrossFit Games drug testing policy, and is CrossFit Games drug testing policy, and is subject to testing at any stage of the competition.

Participation in the competition takes place according to the following divisions (male and female):

The competition gives access to the face-to-face phase to athletes who have passed the qualification phase. This part consists of two workouts (three results) that the athlete is called to perform.

The reference standard of the individual exercises is the one available in the training sheets published together with the wod and the videos.

WOD ANNOUNCEMENT AND DEADLINES

Wod 1 and 2 will be published on October 25 at 10:00 am. The deadline is November 1st at 23:00 hours.

The deadline to register for the competition is November 2nd at 23:00 Wod 1/2.

October 25th is the registration deadline for Team RX/ MASTER (+35), without qualifiers, with a maximum of 30 teams per RX and Master category.

The videos can only be uploaded to youtube or equivalent platform, videos sent to the facebook page or other social or computer system of the competition will not be taken into account.

The organization reserves the unquestionable and inalienable right to accept or reject the registration of an athlete. The organization also reserves the exclusive right to validate or invalidate the scores of an athlete.

The organization reserves the right, with total autonomy and absolute discretion, to invite the winners of the last edition or any other athlete whose presence may give prestige and sporting value to the competition.

In order to participate in the event, the athlete confirms through his/her registration that he/she fully and completely agrees with the rules and guidelines set forth in these Regulations.

The workouts (in the data sheet attached to the videos) include:

  • Required movements
  • Performance points of each movement (the athlete must know the performance points of each movement called “lower and upper position”).
  • Number of repetitions required.
  • Equipment used must be standard:
    • o Barbell and discs in kg (if weights in pounds are used, the accepted tolerance in conversion is 0.5 kg over or under).
    • o Rower Concept (equivalent instruments may be subject to request to the organization of the illustrative data sheet of the product).
  • Time available
  • Scoring method
  • Motion variations
  • Guidelines for video recording

Modification of the scoring workout is strictly prohibited and constitutes invalidation of the entire video test.

Therefore, it is absolutely forbidden to change the standard of movement or to modify the range of motion of an exercise. Therefore, any movement that is considered unusual, out of the ordinary or used to shorten or modify the prescribed movement will be penalized. It is the sole and exclusive responsibility of the athlete to inform the race organization or the chief judge of a functional limitation. The organization reserves the right to request any documentary evidence to be provided by the athlete.

It is the sole responsibility of the athlete to ensure that the score is entered within the time defined by the training deadline. Any incomplete entry cannot be considered. The organization reserves the right to modify the deadline.

The results of the training sessions will be corrected according to the method presented in the 2020 Judge Course:
Good video: the video is free of penalties.

Valid with Minor Penalty: From 1 to 4 no rep are found these will be counted in the score by subtracting them from the pursued result. If the score is determined by the execution time this will be increased by the value of the no rep given.

Valid with major penalty: 5 to plus no rep. The score will be penalized by 15% of the value entered. Invalid: the athlete has not performed the training as prescribed or has added an unacceptable number of non-reps, or the video cannot be evaluated due to framing.

The date, place and logistical information will be communicated through the social pages of the event and the website. Athletes are obliged to check-in according to the communications that will be provided through these channels in the manner and time indicated, providing the documentation that will be requested.

The organization considers that the differentiation based on certain skills no longer has any reason to exist within the categories Elite, RX and Master (+35).
Therefore, athletes who have already participated in other competitions in the elite category, those who have been practicing the discipline of functional training for several years and have a level of fitness that allows them to master the discipline of halterweight are considered elite.

The master categories will follow the application of their own rules with reference, according to the division to which they belong, to the ELITE or INTERMEDIA,RX division.

In the event that an athlete requires or needs medical assistance during training, he/she must obtain clearance from his/her physician to continue the competition. It is up to the doctor or the organization to withdraw an injured athlete from the competition. In case of injury to a team member, he/she may only continue training for the part of the movement that corresponds to the required standard and flow.

(excluding the scenario described in point 2.3) The Madrid CrossFit Challenger Series Final Phase takes place in 3 days where the athletes will have to face each other in different workouts, until the semifinal, which will be followed by the selection of the athletes who will have access to the WOD of the final. The number of WODs may vary according to the needs of the competition and will be widely communicated before the face-to-face phase.

PRIZE MONEY

The organization reserves the right to determine the categories and positions for which a cash prize will be awarded, also according to point 2.3.

The scoring system will follow the application method used by JUDGE CREW.

In case of a tie, rule 4.8 of the Games Regulations will be applied (considering the best position reached by the athlete with respect to the best result in each individual event). If rule 4.8 does not determine the winner, the victory will be awarded to the youngest athlete and, in case of equal age, the athlete who entered the competition first (date and time of registration) will be the winner. In no case are direct tie-breaker matches scheduled.

During all phases of the competition the performances of the athletes are verified by one or more judges appointed by the organization. The judges evaluate the participants on the basis of the prescribed tests according to the criteria and movement rules indicated before the start of the test.

Each participant must sign the scorecard to validate the score assigned by the judge; in case of dispute, the participant must immediately appeal to the competition director (chief judge).

A signed scorecard cannot be contested, and the score assigned by the judge is final and not subject to appeal. In no case are variations allowed after the closing of the leaderboard or at the end of each of the days of the competition.

The competition director or chief judge is the person responsible for the direction of the event and is the subject of reference for any question relating to the tests. The judges are structured in teams delegated to a team leader who has the authority to intervene directly on the calls of a single judge by annulling or validating a movement.

The participant agrees to behave in a fair and sporting manner: manipulations and attempts to cheat, disruptive or obstructive behavior, violent discussions and offensive comments, or any other behavior intended to offend, abuse or damage the image of Madrid CrossFit Series or the organization and the volunteers involved in it will be sanctioned by the director of the competition with the exclusion from the competition of the author of the sanctioned behavior. SevenMila reserves the right to act in the competent legal offices for the recovery of any damage.

Any unsportsmanlike conduct and any possible attitude aimed at harming the organization, participants, sponsors, spectators and others present or to prevent other competitors from participating in the competition in a fair and correct manner are also punishable by penalties in the standings. The decisions of the organization or race director are final and not subject to appeal.

Only the athlete, judges, volunteers and the organization have access to the competition area. The warm-up area, in accordance with the published rules of access, can also be accessed by coaches at the prescribed times and in the prescribed manner.

In relation to the processing of personal data: the “European Regulation 2016/679 on the protection of natural persons with regard to the processing of personal data, as well as on the free movement of such data” (hereinafter GDPR) provides for the protection of individuals and other subjects in relation to the processing of personal data. As “Owner” of the processing, in accordance with Article 13 of the GDPR, therefore, the Event organization provides the following information:

Purpose of processing

The personal data provided will be processed for purposes strictly related and instrumental to the activities as indicated in the extensive statement regarding the use of the image. These data will be disseminated in any form of your images or videos taken on the website, youtube, facebook, instagram, twitter, in print and / or on any other means of dissemination.

Methods of data processing

The personal data provided, including the portrait contained in the photos/videos, will be processed in compliance with current legislation and the principles of correctness, legality, transparency and confidentiality. Such data will be processed both on computer support and on paper and on any other suitable support, in compliance with the security measures provided for by the GDPR.

Obligatory nature of consent

The provision of data is optional. Lack of consent will not allow the use of the images and/or audiovisual recordings of the person concerned for the purposes indicated above. In the event that they are used in error, the data subject may inform the organization, which will remove them.

Communication and dissemination of data

Within the limits relevant to the indicated processing purposes, the personal data (images and audiovisual footage) may be communicated, published and/or disseminated in any form on the event website, on social networks and on any other media (local newspapers or periodicals). The data subject also authorizes the organization of the event to communicate such data to partners and sponsors present at the event.

Rights of the data subject

The granting of consent for the processing of personal data is optional. At any time it is possible to exercise all the rights indicated in articles __to __and art. __ of the ___, in particular the cancellation, rectification or integration of the data, by writing to SevenMila Av. Cornellà 142, 08950 Esplugues de Llobregat (Barcelona).

Conservation period

The data collected (photos, videos, etc.) will be stored in the computer files of the organizing company and the purposes of these publications are purely informational/promotional.

By registering for the MADCRFSRS21  the participant accepts the application of these Regulations and in particular declares the following
as a participant in the project Madrid CrossFit Challenger Series 2021 organized by SevenMila Av. Cornellà 142, 08950 Esplugues de Llobregat (Barcelona).

BECAUSE
  • SevenMila has held the aforementioned sporting event called MADCRFSRS21
  • that during the Event photos and videos will be taken for the promotion of the Event
  • that for the promotion of the Event and the Products, SevenMila intends to use the image of the undersigned in the photographic representations, audio and video content or other forms of reproduction, which will be made (collectively defined as the Image”), through:
    • website and social media accounts;
    • website;
    • or facebook, twitter and instagram page and any other owned or referenced social network; -on any other advertising material in paper or electronic format.
AUTHORIZE

SevenMila Av. Cornellà 142, 08950 Esplugues de Llobregat (Barcelona) , to use -limited to the promotional-advertising activity of the Event- my Image, as portrayed during the Event itself, in whole or in part, individually or together with other material, including, but not limited to, texts, photographs or images, free of charge and without any limitation in time, territory or related to the form of use, frequency of use or means of diffusion chosen.
