The queen of CrossFit, Annie Thorisdottir, returns to the Madrid CrossFit Challenger Series

  • The Icelandic athlete returns as an ambassador for the event to be held from 25 to 27 November in Madrid
  • Annie has just qualified in first place with her team for the final of the CrossFit Games

The iconic, Annie Thorisdottir, returns on the second edition of Madrid CrossFit Challenger Series, that will be heald from 25 to 27th November at Centro Municipal Gallur. Annie is one of the most important international athletes in CrossFit. She has two first-place finishes at the CrossFit Games on two accasions (2011 and 2012) and was second in 2010 and 2014. 

Last year, she surprised us by taking the third place in the last edition of the CrossFit Games just one year after becoming a mother and, the pasts days, she took 1st place with her team Crossfit Reykjavic in the 1st CrossFit Games semi-final held this weekend at the CrossFit® Lowlands Throwdown in Amsterdam.

Last edition Annie delighted all the attendees with a Masterclass, a privilege enjoyed by all CrossFit Challenger Series qualifiers. In this edition, all the classified participants will also be able to enjoy a group training session with one of the best athletes in the world in this discipline.

Also, the Icelandic athlete will have a Meet & Greet with the public present during the 3 days of the competition. A great opportunity to meet one of the most important figures of the current CrossFit® world and a reference for the new generations. In addition, Thorisdottir will be in charge of presenting the medals to the winners at the closing ceremony.

The joy and vitality that Annie transmits has endeared her to the public, and her mere presence as an ambassador increases the carat of the Madrid CrossFit ® Challenger Series, which is bringing together a cast of athletes and ambassadors of great prestige that can place it at the height of major competitions in its premiere.
